9 Jan - 14 Jan: Sabah

It’s been a while since my last post about my 2008 resolution right, and here I am, to tell you what’s going on in my life lately. I went back to Sabah last week to ensure everything works fine over there. You might be asking what to work about, right? Em, I don’t want to tell. (hai yaaa, such a very kontroversi words lah … lol *quote)

Starting from 9th January 2008 until 14 January 2008, I spent my whole five days (minus 9th Jan) with lots of activities. The main reason why I bought the flight ticket was to celebrate a birthday (not my birthday, because my birthday will falls on 2nd March *hint hint). And we did it. We went to Sutera Harbour Resort somewhere near to KK town. Having buffet lunch with the family. That was my first time stepping my foot in Sutera Harbour Resort, can you imagine? :p

What happen the next day? The second reason why I bought the flight ticket was to arrange and buy tools and things for my house renovation. This is my first time handling a house renovation, which makes me feel so nervous about it. But with the help of an engineer, I managed to solve each and every problem exists in the middle of the arrangement. Thank you you-know-who-you-are.

The third reason why I bought the flight ticket was to eat all seafood kind of things in Sabah. I don’t know that Sabah was famous with seafood until my peninsular friends told me so. I made a very special arrangement to have one or more time of having meal in that kind of seafood restaurant. Few names suggested including Salut (near to Karambunai), but we went to Restoran Sri Mutiara near to Asia City shopping mall. This is one of the famous seafood restaurants in town that serve a very delicious fresh Butter Prawn. They put all live seafood in the aquarium and it’s us to choose what we want. I recommend you guys to have Butter Prawn in here because its toooooo delicious, and its cost us around RM30 for 500g fresh big prawn. Owh, forgot to mention, we ordered three live crabs and ikan kerapu enough for three person. They also provide us nasi for free. The total cost for all the meals plus drink were only RM96/=. Can we call it as cheap?

Putera: After

My journey in adding my weight doesn’t stop there, because the next day, we went to Putera somewhere around Taman Tun Fuad to have steamboat buffet and grill. But, we have to pay for every single food that we took, but we haven’t eaten. So, think before your take the food. This time, it cost us around RM60.

Some desert from Le Meridien

On my last day in Sabah before fly back to KL, we took a buffet lunch at Le Meridien Hotel just because we smelled something delicious from its lobby area. I just hate walking so I made a simple decision to park our car at its parking area because we want to go to the Filipino Market to buy some stuff, since its just few meters from the hotel. Guess what? We were not satisfied with the food. The rice not well cooked, the dishes served are less than eight, and the fruit, salad and ice cream are too bad to be serve in 5 stars hotel dining area. The only thing that I can compliment is their cake. It might be our first and last time eating over there.

I guess, that’s all that I have during my five days in Sabah. I will be back again next month. Wait for me Sabah… :)
